ITINERARY

Cusco – City Tour

Welcome to Cusco! We will take you to your hotel for check-in, and around 1:00 p.m., we will pick you up for our guided tour of the archaeological sites near Cusco.

Our first stop will be Sacsayhuaman, an impressive site made from enormous stone blocks. Next, we will visit Q’enqo, which means «Labyrinth» in Quechua, a name given by the Spanish due to its underground tunnels and winding channels.

We will then proceed to Puca Pucara, known as the «red fortress» because of the hue the stones take on at sunset. Finally, we’ll visit Tambomachay, an important Inca temple dedicated to water worship.

Our tour will end at the Plaza de Armas in Cusco around 6:00 PM, leaving you free to explore the city on your own in the evening.

ATV In Maras And Moray

The ATV tour begins in the morning with a hotel pick-up, followed by about an hour’s drive to our base in Cruzpata. After a brief orientation on ATV operation and safety measures, we will have a 10-minute practice session before starting the circuit.

The tour itself lasts for 2 hours, during which we will make stops at scenic viewpoints and other locations perfect for capturing the stunning natural surroundings. As we ride, you’ll get to see local farming practices, and there will be an option to visit the archaeological site of Moray (entrance not included), known as the Inca agricultural experimentation center.

Once we finish the ATV circuit, our transportation will take you to the Salineras de Maras, as ATVs are prohibited near the salt ponds. Along the way, we will enjoy the breathtaking views of the high mountains, which are revered as sacred Apus in our culture. You will see Veronica Mountain, standing at 5,682 meters above sea level and considered the guardian of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, as well as Chicón, which rises to 5,530 meters.

We will have a panoramic view of the Vilcanota mountain range before returning to our base and then heading back to Cusco, where we expect to arrive around 2:00 PM.

Bike – Cycle Route Through The Valley Starting The Route In Ollantaytambo

Our exciting bike tour kicks off at 8 a.m. with a pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. The biking route starts in Urubamba, taking you on a stunning journey through the highlights of the Sacred Valley, passing through the towns of Urubamba, Rumichaca, Yanahuara, and Santa Ana.

The Sacred Valley Cycle Path spans approximately 21 km. We begin in Urubamba and travel through part of the town until we connect with the Cycle Path, which leads us alongside the river, perfect for taking photos. We then follow a short stone path that leads to a bridge over the Urubamba River.

Continuing along the scenic Cycle Path, we enjoy panoramic views of the Sacred Valley, its mountains, and surrounding agricultural fields. Our ride takes us to Santa Ana, where we can admire crop terraces and enjoy a stunning view of the cornfields. We proceed until we reach Ollantaytambo.

Throughout our journey, we will learn about local crops like corn and potatoes. Afterward, you will have the option to take a brief walk around Ollantaytambo, where the traditional constructions and aqueducts remain well-preserved. This is where we board the train to Aguas Calientes.

Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu

In the early morning, we will transfer you to the bus station for a 25-minute ride to the Machu Picchu Archaeological Sanctuary. Upon arrival, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking sunrise before we begin our guided tour of one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World: Machu Picchu. Our guide will provide insights into the history and architecture of the citadel, and you will be in awe of the remarkable Inca structures and the stunning natural landscape surrounding them.

After the tour, you’ll have some free time to further explore and capture photos to remember your visit. We will then return to Aguas Calientes by bus, where you’ll have the afternoon free for lunch, relaxation, and exploring the town. In the evening, we will board the train to Cusco, arriving at Ollantaytambo station, where our transport will be ready to take you to your hotel in Cusco.

Hike To Humantay Lake

The tour kicks off with a pick-up from your hotel between 4:30 and 5:00 AM as we make our way to Mollepata, located about 2 hours and 30 minutes away. Upon our arrival in Mollepata, we will enjoy a hearty breakfast.

We will then continue our journey in private transportation for an additional 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach Soraypampa, situated at 3,900 meters above sea level, where we can take in the breathtaking views of the Salkantay snow-capped mountain. From this point, we will embark on a 1 hour and 40-minute hike to the stunning turquoise Humantay Lake, located at 4,200 meters above sea level.

If needed, you can opt to rent a horse for the hike. After exploring the picturesque surroundings and taking unforgettable photos, we will head back to Mollepata for a buffet lunch. In the afternoon, we will board the return bus and arrive in Cusco around 6:00 PM.

Walking Tour And Starry Night At Planetarium

Immerse yourself in the streets and traditions of Cusco. Our guide will take you to key locations around the city. In the morning, at 9:00 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel and head to the iconic viewpoint of the White Christ, where you can enjoy one of the best panoramas of the city. After that, we will walk through the city’s narrow streets, discovering incredible places and uniquely named alleys, each with its own fascinating history.

We will explore the traditional neighborhood of San Blas, visit the San Cristóbal viewpoint, and capture the classic photo at the 12-Angle Stone. Additionally, we will stop by the local San Pedro market, where our guide will explain various local products, and you will have the opportunity to taste some regional foods and fruits from our valleys. We will end the tour at the famous Plaza de Armas in Cusco.

The Planetarium tour starts at 5:00 PM, when we will pick you up from your hotel to head north of the city to the Llaullipata estate, home to the interpretation center. We will begin with a presentation on Andean cosmology and the key remnants of Inca astronomical knowledge. Following that, you will enjoy an interactive experience in a 360° dome, where you can visually explore the constellations and major stars of our universe.

Finally, we will have the chance to observe planets and the moon through specialized telescopes. This promises to be a memorable experience, and we will conclude our tour by returning to the center of Cusco around 9:00 PM.

Hike To Rainbow Mountain

In this program, we will explore one of the most popular natural attractions in Cusco: Rainbow Mountain.

The tour begins early in the morning, with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco scheduled between 04:00 and 04:30 AM. We will then embark on a car journey lasting approximately two hours to the south, reaching the district of Cusipata – Paucarpata, where we will enjoy a buffet breakfast. Following breakfast, we will drive for another hour to reach the control point and commence our hike (Llaqto).

The hike will take around 1 hour and 20 minutes, during which we will encounter the unique flora and fauna of the Andes, including llamas and alpacas. The trail will lead us through stunning valleys and offer views of snow-capped peaks. Upon reaching the viewpoint of Vinicunca, or Rainbow Mountain (at 5,080 meters above sea level), our guide will provide insights into the mountain’s geology, ecosystem, and vibrant colors.

You will have the chance to admire the Vinicunca Mountain Range, take memorable photos, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Afterward, we will retrace our steps back to the starting point of the hike (Llaqto), where our transportation will be waiting to take us back to Cusipata for a buffet lunch.

After lunch, we will begin our return journey to Cusco, arriving between 4 and 5 PM. The final stop will be near the Plaza de Armas in Cusco.
