ITINERARY

Sacred Valley Of The Incas

To start this tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, our transfer will pick you up around 7:00 a.m. from your hotel. We will begin a one-hour journey towards Pisac, where we’ll have the chance to admire the stunning beauty of the Sacred Valley and learn about its historical and modern significance for humanity.

Once we arrive, we will visit the archaeological site of Pisac, located atop the town. Here, you’ll see how locals still apply ancient Inca agricultural techniques to cultivate the mountain slopes with remarkable efficiency. Afterward, we will explore Pisac’s colorful artisan market, filled with handmade crafts for purchase. Around noon, we will enjoy a buffet lunch at a restaurant in the Urubamba Valley.

Following lunch, we will continue to Ollantaytambo, located 76 km from Cusco. Here, we will see massive stone blocks, some weighing over 100 tons, that were moved to the mountain for astronomical purposes—an incredible feat that amazes visitors. Positioned at the junction of three valleys, Ollantaytambo is a fortified archaeological site that also serves as a gateway to the jungle, following the river that leads to Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Ollantaytambo is known as the «Best Tourist Town in the World» and is often described as a city frozen in time due to its Inca-Colonial urban design and sophisticated hydraulic system, which channels water through the streets while preserving its original landscape.

On our way back to Cusco, we will stop at Chinchero, located northwest of the city. In Inca times, the ruler Tupac Yupanqui planned to build palaces for the elite here, and the remains of these structures can still be seen, alongside the colonial church built atop them. Chinchero preserves ancient agricultural traditions, particularly in cultivating diverse Andean potato varieties and weaving textiles rich with Inca iconography. It remains an important cultural and tourist destination.

The tour will conclude around 6:30 p.m. in Cusco after an unforgettable experience in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
